One of AAVN's goals is to provide education and resources to all members of the veterinary nutrition community. Veterinary technicians and nurses play a key role in client communication about pet dietary needs and food intake but may not have access to CE programming or training in this area. In order to better meet this need, AAVN has developed an intensive two-day (one full day, two half-days) veterinary nutrition workshop for technicians. This program will be offered every year/ every other year in a different region of the United States.
AAVN’s first workshop will take place on Friday, April 4- Sunday, April 6 at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square in Pittsburgh, PA. In addition to receiving 13 CE credits, attendees will form a network of technicians in their region that they can connect and consult with on nutrition and other topics. Technicians will also be able to forge contacts with professionals in pet food and related service industries.
Each technician will leave with a nutrition “manual” that summarizes key learning points and includes tools for use in their day-to-day work.
AAVN has secured a block of rooms at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at a rate of $179/night. To reserve your room click here
