Nutrition of the Sick Equine Neonate :  Why it is Important andHow to Provide it in Ambulatory Practice

Nutrition plays a key role in successful case management of sick equine neonates but evidence on optimum nutritional support for sick foals is sparse. Understanding the requirements of the healthy equine neonate and the impact of various disease processes on nutritional requirements can be used to augment the available evidence.

This presentation will review the current evidence regarding the requirements of healthy and sick neonates, discuss how to evaluate whether a sick foal requires enteral or parenteral nutrition and provide practical tips on providing enteral nutrition in the field.

Please note that this webinar runs from 7 pm - 8:30 pm EST.
